Air Liquide Healthcare argon gas – for when you need reliability
The atmosphere contains about 0.9% argon. As a neutral and colorless gas like nitrogen, it only exists in the air.
It cannot sustain life, but it is frequently used in certain applications due to its high level of chemical inertness.
Argon is used pure and in mixtures in hospitals for analyses and quality control. More particularly, argon is used as plasma gas in Inductive Coupled Plasma (ICP) emission spectrometry, blanket gas in Graphite Furnace Atomic Absorption Spectrometry (GFAAS) and as carrier gas in gas chromatography for various detector.
Typical applications
- Quencing gas (pure or mixed with methane)
- Zero, diluting and carrier gas for analysis
- Cryoabalation
We understand you may have specific requirements, so if you require an argon mixture or grade not listed here please contact us.
