I started with Air Liquide Healthcare Australia in 2007 as a Marketing intern. Since then, I have been given the opportunities to work in 6 positions over the past 15 years in different departments, business lines and locations. What I always like about Air Liquide is that the employees are responsible to drive change in their career. One of the key pieces of advice I received when I started was not to wait for a tap on your shoulder about what can be your next move but to drive it! I feel proud to work in a company who is over 100 years old and still incredibly committed to making a real change to our world. It has been fascinating to see the investment and changes related to Hydrogen. One of the most memorable experiences within my 15 years with Air Liquide was when we made 2 major acquisitions. The feeling of being part of this new journey was incredible. Everyone was keen to make the new employees feel welcome and to make the new venture a success.

I commenced with Air Liquide Healthcare in 2007 after completing my Bachelor of Biomedical Science. I had always wanted to work in a healthcare environment, I enjoy the medical side and also helping others. I commenced at Air Liquide in a customer service role taking phone orders and helping patients on the phone. Here I had the great enjoyment of facing many different queries and situations where I had to help people. I learnt a lot and started to really desire to go into the sales direction. I saw the sales role as something where there was autonomy to be out on the road, spend time face to face with our customers to solve their problems. I have always had very good managers that supported and guided me through my career, and pushed me to develop my career. While that is a major part of career development, I also believe that you need to strive to improve, grow and learn to succeed further and that hard work does pay off. As for the culture, we are very passionate and caring about healthcare and what we do. Once you feel that sense of satisfaction from knowing that you helped a patient, you are addicted to that feeling. What I like most about Air Liquide is there is a never ending amount of things to learn and problem solve. It is impossible to be bored! In Air Liquide I have so many memorable experiences but going to Paris for the International Medical Gases Meeting in 2014 is one I will never forget. I met colleagues from other countries and really felt how big Air Liquide is.

I joined Air Liquide Healthcare in a unique role of Technical Sales Specialist in 2010. Having being extremely lucky to get the exposure over sales and operations in my first role, it helped me kick start my career and took me on an unforgettable professional journey hitting milestones across a variety of positions and projects overlooking Logistics & Transportation, Operations, Workshop & Maintenance, Procurement & Supply Chain - all for the cause that I am very passionate about. There are a million reasons why I love working here, and on top of them all are the people. The team here is super approachable and supportive, just like a happy big family. I always wanted a position that challenges me and stretches me into different areas - Air Liquide has provided me with this opportunity in every step of my career. To add to this, I have been extremely lucky to be mentored by leaders that developed through the grassroots - and I feel privileged to be able to inspire the next group of fantastic individuals in my team.

I started my career and association with Air Liquide Healthcare in 2011 following the acquisition of SNORE Australia (where I had started in 2007 as a Sleep Technologist). When it comes to career development here, one thing that stands out to me is the organisation's preference to identify internal talent and promote from within, often placing people in roles that would otherwise be unfamiliar to them or even never considered. It was this philosophy which helped with my own development, giving me experience across Sales and (now) Operations, despite starting from a Technical and Clinical background. My most memorable experience within ALH was the transition of the diagnostic business to an in-home model within a matter of weeks following Government regulatory changes that prevented the existing in-lab business from continuing. I was and continue to be really proud and appreciative of the people and teams that were involved in this transformation where we are still the market leader.

I started my career with Air Liquide, right after finishing University, in 2015. My career and experiences with Air Liquide since have always been diverse. I have had the privilege of working in different business lines & countries with Air Liquide and am always amazed by the variety of unique opportunities available. My career has transformed so much over a short period of time thanks to others believing in me. I’m proud to work for a company which values their employees and wants to see them succeed & develop internally. I have endless memorable experiences thus far into my career with Air Liquide, however the lessons I have learnt, professional & personal, from all of my colleagues, are the experiences I most value.
