Oxygen Therapy Services

Air Liquide Healthcare offers a range of products and services to support patients who need oxygen therapy

Hospital to Home

We offer a hospital discharge service that provides oxygen for your patients making the transition to home.

We can deliver portable oxygen cylinders to the hospital for your patient’s safe and timely discharge, and coordinate home oxygen therapy education with families and care givers prior to discharge.

Setting up therapy

Our home oxygen services are performed in the comfort of your patient’s home by our highly skilled and qualified technicians. We encourage friends and family members to be involved in your patient’s therapy initiation and education about the safe and proper use of the equipment.

Our customer service teams are only a phone call away with 24-hour support.

Air Liquide Healthcare supplies user guides for all equipment supplied as well as a home oxygen therapy booklet that provides useful information to the most common patient questions. In addition, your patients receive our dedicated oxygen therapy newsletter containing useful tips for managing oxygen therapy.

Portable Oxygen Concentrator (POC) trial service

Air Liquide Healthcare offers a titration service to enable compliance with the guidelines1 set by The Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand (TSANZ) for oxygen therapy equipment.

Testing is critical as pulse dose mode concentrators have a range of settings that are not identical to cylinder flow rates. An additional complexity is the variation in performance specifications of the various models of POCs.

Air Liquide Healthcare can provide a range of POCs for evaluation in your patient’s home, as well as an oximetry data collection service to assist you in the accurate titration of your patient’s blood oxygen levels on different devices.

We use only TGA approved oximeters to maintain the highest level of clinical accuracy and performance.

An added benefit is our flexibility when it comes to equipment rental.

Our Flexi Rental option offers daily hire that provides ultimate flexibility for patients to move from one device to another as their medical needs change.

Our Long Term Rental is an affordable rental option with the highest level of service and support.

State Funding

Neither the Medicare Benefits Schedule nor the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme fund oxygen therapy. Oxygen therapy is funded either directly via state and territory schemes or through federal agencies including the Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA), or the Department of Health for patients in residential aged care facilities.

Each state and territory uses medical criteria to decide who is eligible to receive a home oxygen subsidy. In some states, a central organisation is responsible for subsidies and in other states the subsidies are managed by local health services or hospital boards.

Due to the electricity demands of operating oxygen therapy equipment, energy subsidies are available. Application forms are available from electricity providers and Air Liquide Healthcare.

Regardless of funding, Air Liquide Healthcare can provide a wide range of oxygen therapy products including discreet portable oxygen therapy solutions that can enhance your patients’ lifestyles and quality of life.

For the most current information, contact Air Liquide Healthcare to find out the latest subsidy offers in your state and what solutions we can offer your patients.

Federal Funding: DVA

The Department Human Services administers payment of oxygen supplements to aged care facilities.
